Basic Skin Care

This in-depth course gives a thorough foundation in one of the most important areas of aesthetics. Course curriculum covers study of anatomy and physiology of the body, dermatology, skin types and conditions, nutrition, sanitation and sterilization.

 

These technologies will be studied:
· Advanced facial treatments using state-of-the-art technology and electrical equipment
· A range of facial procedures designed for different skin types including European basic facial and mini facial
· Massage techniques to address different skin conditions
· European relaxation massage for face, neck and decollete
· Mask therapy
· Exfoliation including peels, scrubs and acids
· Extractions
· Maintaining a thorough client consultation card.

 

Throughout the course, students practice on one another, learning how to recognize different skin types and corresponding treatments.

Paramedical Skin Care

This is an advanced course and can be taken only after successful completion of Basic Skin Care. Theoretical study includes understanding enemies of the skin, aging skin characteristics, chemistry, and the workings of aromatherapy. A variety of highly advanced and leading-edge facial treatments are taught, including:

 

· Glycolic peels
· Anti-aging treatments
· Non-surgical face lifting
· Microdermabrasion
· Eye and neck treatments
· Eyelash and brow tinting
· Rosacea treatment
