Spa Treatment at the Mississauga Peel Women's Shelter

March 6, 2010

Everyone likes to be pampered. Ms.Vesna and her students from the Chellsey Institute of Aesthetics made a surprise visit to the Peel Women's Shelter in Mississauga and spent a day treating women to complimentary spa services.

The ladies received manicures and pedicures to help them look and feel their best. Some of the women had never been to a spa before so this was a great way to share the luxury of being pampered. The students were able to practice their skills and the ladies were extremely thankful to the aesthetics school for its generosity.

The Chellsey Institute enjoys giving back to the community and was honoured to provide this special day of pampering at the Women's Shelter.  A special thanks to Ms. Vesna who coordinated the event.

Chellsey Institute Provides Professional Make-Up

for Miss Polonia Contestants

2008

Chellsey Institute of Aesthetics participates in community events and welcomes opportunities for student development outside of the school's regular training clinic.

The school was thrilled to be one of the sponsors for the 2008 Miss Polonia beauty contest, held at the Polish Community Centre in Mississauga.

Fifteen students from Ms. Diana's class were given the opportunity to provide professional make-up application for the beauty participants. The centre was packed for the event and it was a huge success.

The Miss Polonia competitors were delighted with their make-up and the students loved the opportunity to put
their skills to use in a real life setting.

It gave the students a chance to build confidence, master their techniques and have some fun at the same time.
What a memorable occasion for all!

Official Make-Up Artists for Miss Canada Beauty Pageant

2007

Students from the Chellsey Institute of Aesthetics were the official make-up artists for the 2007 Miss Canada Beauty Pageant. During the three day event, Ms. Diana's and Ms. Kim's classes were given the opportunity to practice their beauty training skills with contestants from all over Canada .

The Chellsey students proved they were a talented team. They provided more than make-up for the girls; they were also their support network during an emotional and competitive time.

The students skillfully applied the latest make-up techniques and glamour cosmetics to match the contestants' personalities and outfits throughout the pageant.

When aesthetics students are given exposure to these
types of events, they learn the importance of connecting and building relationships with their clients. They also get to experience a day in the life of a professional make-up artist, which can help them make informed career decisions.

Chellsey Institute Volunteers at Shoppers Drug Mart

Customer Appreciation Day

2006

shoppers drug day

It was customer appreciation day at a local Shoppers Drug Mart store and the Chellsey Institute of Aesthetics volunteered to participate in the event by offering mini spa treatments to customers.

Ms. Rhonda organized a team of six soon-to-be graduating aestheticians to give manicures, pedicures and make-up applications to the Shoppers Drug Mart customers.  The customers enjoyed their services and praised the team of Chellsey students.

Ms. Margaret, the Director of the Chellsey Institute of Aesthetics, is focused on giving back to the community and this was one way of showing her support and also helping her students gain practical experience.
