Advanced Aesthetics Diploma

 

This is a diploma program designed to meet the increased standards and market demand for total body and face aesthetic services. The curriculum is made up of 8 different components and totals 1040 hours. You may study full-time or you can choose to enroll part-time and attend classes during the day or evening.

Class Schedule

Morning Class: Monday to Friday 9:15am -- 1:15pm
Afternoon Class: Monday to Friday 1:30pm -- 5:30pm
Evening Class: Mon. Tue. Wed 6:00-10:00pm and Sat. 9:00am - 6:00pm

Job Description - Esthetician

Introduction

The following provides a guideline of expectations and tasks for your role as an esthetician.


Esthetic Services


Provide the following services in keeping with all professional standards and your current qualifications:

  • Facial
  • Manicure
  • Pedicure
  • Body Massage & Spa Treatments
  • Skin Analysis and Care plan development
  • Hair removal (Waxing)
  • Make-up application

 

Sales and Customer Service

Customer Focus: Provide all services thinking of the customer first.  Ask yourself how they would feel before any task.  Ask yourself how what you are doing benefits the customer.  Explain procedure before and during their occurrence.

Record Keeping:  Prepare and/or update a Client Treatment Card after each visit.  Use the client treatment card when the client calls to book another appointment to show that you remember them.  When time permits, proactively contact clients to recommend a visit.

Product Knowledge:  Demonstrate initiative to gain product knowledge through reading and attending product knowledge seminars offered by the manufacturer.

Sales:  Always recommend follow-up services and skincare products prior to completion of the clients’Äô bill for service.

Results Oriented:  Visualize the result you are looking for and use this as a guideline for how you achieve the result.  This includes the treatment to the customer, selling additional products and services and all maintenance activities.

Following successful completion of the program, graduates of the Chellsey Institute of Aesthetics Esthetician program can expect to find employment in day or resort spas, salons, beauty institutes, health clubs, cruise ships, and cosmetic firms.  They may also be employed as sales representatives for manufacturers, distributors and retailers of esthetic products, or may find opportunities for self-employment, contract, and consulting work.
