Manicure

Program Overview

 Manicure is an aesthetics procedure which improves the appearance of the feet and nails. The word Manicure comes from the Latin words pedis, which means of the foot, and cura, which means care. In this course, you will learn sanitization and sterilization, proper protocols, professional nail applications, grooming techniques and treatments and polish application. You will also learn foot massages, exfoliation, drip dry and paraffin treatments. You will practice what you are learning and improve your skills at Chellsey Med-Spa, a full-service classroom and retail boutique open to the public. Working under the guidance of qualified lab technicians, you will manage the administrative functions of the spa, including front line responsibilities, retail operations and providing spa services. You will provide foot care treatments to clientele.

Admissions Requirements:

  • Gr.12 OSSD/High School Graduate or Mature Student Status (18 Ontario, 19 out of province)

  • Successful completion of entrance evaluation

  • Admissions interview
