Program Curriculum

The curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in Swedish massage principles, body therapies, and professional practice.

Massage & Body Therapies Module
This module introduces the fundamental principles of human anatomy, physiology, Swedish massage techniques, and body therapies used in relaxation massage treatments.

Theoretical Training Includes:

  • History of massage and body systems

  • Relaxation massage techniques and use of essential oils

  • Anatomy and physiology and benefits of massage

  • Posture, hygiene, and professional practices

  • Contraindications for massage

  • Room and work area setup

  • Equipment and product knowledge

  • Sanitization practices

  • Homecare advice and follow-up treatments

Practical Training

Hands-on practice is a core component of the program. Students receive guided practical training to develop confidence and proper technique.

Practical training includes:

  • Full back and shoulder massage

  • Back of leg and foot massage

  • Front of leg and foot massage

  • Stomach massage

  • Arm and hand massage

  • Neck, shoulder, and décolletage massage

  • Face and ear massage

  • Relaxation and aromatherapy massage techniques

  • Basic Swedish massage strokes including effleurage, petrissage, friction, percussion, and vibration
